A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of sharing my story on Able Finder! Able Finder is a great, Australian, organization spreading awareness and building a community – based on personal stories of triumph, despite chronic illnesses & disabilities.
I want to share my short story with you now…
“My name is Christalle. My personal account is @ChristallePistol. I would like the world to know they their illness is nothing more than a diagnosis. I am living proof that you can live a great life, even with epilepsy. I was misdiagnosed at age 14 and properly diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy at age 25. I didn’t let my diagnosis stop me from conquering my goals. I finished college, moved across the country and conquered my career goals by age 30. I am now living the dream and teaching kids art. In addition, I started a platform for others with epilepsy, to provide support and inspiration. Despite having epilepsy, I continue to explore the outdoors and live a full life, no matter what challenges I face. My goal is to educate others and raise awareness about epilepsy. I want others to know that they can do anything they set their minds to, regardless of their diagnosis!” ❤✨ #enableawareness #epilepsyawareness #epilepsy”
I encourage you all to share your stories to help others stay positive and to raise more awareness for epilepsy. Even if you don’t share via LifeElektrik.com, just SHARE! We are all in this fight together!💜
